GadFly: Sequence Similarity
This data is out of date, based on Release 2. Please see Release 3 Notes and query Release 3.1 [HERE] for the most up-to-date data.
Every mRNA sequence was BLASTed against every other mRNA sequence in the complete transcript collection of January 2000. If the hits were mutual (A hit B and B hit A) then a connection was recorded. If there were also connections from C to A and from C to B then A, B, and C were grouped. New members were added to groups as long as more than 80% of all possible connections were present. These groups, that are based on these sequence similarities alone, have been subsequently organized by a majority vote according to the biological functional categories of the member mRNAs in order to facilitate browsing the results.
